A Visit with Allison and Family
Allison was a student of Michael's some 27 years ago when she was Hadley, her daughter's age. Today a wonderful reunion took place at Michael's Museum in the Chicago Children's Museum. Matt, Allison's husband, took these great photographs.

Make-A-Mini-Book
Today Michael's Museum Curator, Michael, worked with two volunteers to help over 60 children make and illustrate and/or author a mini-book. The activity was part of Chicago Children's Museum's August "Makers Month."
The results were joyful! When asked what the visitors knew about the parts of a book we got everything from a "shrug of the shoulders" to "a plot, characters, a beginning, a middle, and an end" to "a cover and pages."
Join us on Wednesdays from 2:00-4:00 during August to make one of your own.
