The Gift of Cranes

These origami cranes were made by a visitor and given as a gift to Michael's Museum. She used to make them as a little girl, working at perfecting her skills and making the origami animals smaller and smaller. Now a mother visiting Chicago Children's Museum with her daughter, she still does origami animals and saves them in jars. These cranes were made out of a quarter inch square piece of foil paper. The crane's wingspan measures approximately 1/8 of an inch. Shown here next to a Jelly Belly for size comparison.
